The 2011 Ford Mustang V6 produces 305 hp and gets 30 mpg on the highway!
2010 saw an overall update of the Ford Mustang. It received new exterior sheetmetal, as well as an upgraded interior, that brought the car really up to world class standards. However, the powertrains were mostly carry-over from the 2009 model. That changes come this spring, when the 2011 Mustang V6 rolls into showrooms. It features Ford’s 3.7L V6, good for 305 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. This engine isn’t just about power though, it was designed with fuel efficiency in mind as well. Inside Line estimates that nearly 2/3rds of all Camaro’s sold are V8′s! Take that Prius owners!
The masses have spoken, and horsepower is their answer! According to Edmunds’ Inside Line, nearly two thirds of all of the 47,000 plus Camaros sold since April have been the SS model packing a 6.2L V8. The SS models go for at least $8,000 more than the base V6′s so I’m sure General Motors is happy the ratio of V8 to V6 is so high.
