This is a prime example of why this site is needed! When this vehicle was unveiled, the vast majority of morons on the Internet asked why this truck was being produced? Why it was approved in a time when people were buying smaller vehicles? Well, here’s your answer: demand. People wanted this truck, and the pre-orders prove it. Ford has over 1,500 orders for the 2010 F-150 SVT Raptor, which puts Ford’s Dearborn Truck Plant at maximum Raptor production. For more details, and some amazing shots of the Raptor in action, head on over to PickupTrucks.com.
U.S. Border Patrol to chase illegals in…F-150 SVT Raptors???

According to a report on Pickuptrucks.com, the U.S. Border Patrol is considering purchasing 10 of the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor pickup trucks for use protecting our Southern border. The Raptor is surely built for the job; it’s custom suspension features Fox racing shocks, 11.2 inches of travel in front, 13.4 inches in the rear, and a powerful 5.4L V8. Word on the street is that the agents want a stripped down interior, so we’ll see if Ford meets their demands. Hopefully the Border Patrol will wait and get the rumored 6.2L engine…only time will tell!
Check out the awesome video of Ford’s new F150 truck, the Ford F150 SVT Raptor. Looks and sounds awesome! I’ll take one…thank you very much.

Chrysler Challenger SRT8
Chrysler has announced that it will continue to develop SRT versions of its volume models for at least the near term. This news comes as a bright spot for Chrysler, as GM has recently announced it was shutting down it’s High Performance Vehicle Operations team. Ford has also stated that it’s SVT performance group would continue making performance versions of it’s vehicles for the time being. Head on over to Autoblog to hear more.
While not a huge fan of Chrysler vehicles myself (it’s a rivalry thing lol) I happen to find the SRT vehicles to be pretty incredible. Big muscle, sporty styling and relatively low priced vehicles make up the SRT lineup.
