Ford hits minor road bump, issues TSB fix on Fusion/Milan hybrids

The video above describes an issue Consumer Reports found with the Fusion/Milan hyrids where the brakes could switch over to conventional brakes earlier than necessary, giving the perceived notion of braking loss, even though Ford says you still have braking control over the car.  Here’s to hoping that Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda and any other automaker with a severe recall or quality issue gets it fixed ASAP!

This time last year Ford Motor Company was selling 73% fewer hybrids.  This is in large part due to the increase in available hybrid models, from 2 models last year (Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner) to 4 now with the addition of the Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan hybrids.

Even better is that 60% of Fusion hybrid buyers and 52% of all Fusion buyers were non-Ford owners before their latest purchase!  For the full story, as well as Ford’s official press release, head on over to Autoblog Green.
