Fiesta beats Lamborghini! Also, begins production in Cuautitlán assembly plant
Well, sort of – check out this hilariously awesome video of a comparison of the Ford Fiesta and a Lamborghini.
Ford has finally begun production of the highly acclaimed Fiesta B-car in its Cuautitlán, Mexico assembly plant. The car will be available in June and is expected to compete with the Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris.

The 2011 Ford Fiesta is getting close to sale here in the United States and Autoblog has had a go at both a manual version and an automatic, the sedan and the hatchback, and their review is quite good. They do have some negatives to point out, like how the soft touch IP looks much better than the non-soft touch door trims, but what competitor in this class offers even half the features or looks of the Fiesta? None! The Nissan Versa is one of the ugliest cars I have ever seen, the Toyota Yaris is downright boring (what Toyota isn’t?) and the Honda Fit is rather uninspiring. Ford’s current Fiesta Movement was a really great idea. It put 100 European-spec Fiestas in the hands of 100 drivers and gave them free range to say what they wanted about the car; be it online, via print or any other media outlet they chose. The car has a 60% recognition score which is big for a car on the market, yet the Fiesta won’t even be on sale until next year! Well Ford has decided to look for people to participate in the Fiesta Movement 2! This effort will focus more on the owning aspect of a Fiesta. For more details, head on over to Autoblog.
