Another member of the Big 3 stepping up to help another charity. This time the car being auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson is a 2010 Mustang GT convertible. The 2011 Ford Mustang V6 produces 305 hp and gets 30 mpg on the highway!

2010 saw an overall update of the Ford Mustang. It received new exterior sheetmetal, as well as an upgraded interior, that brought the car really up to world class standards. However, the powertrains were mostly carry-over from the 2009 model. That changes come this spring, when the 2011 Mustang V6 rolls into showrooms. It features Ford’s 3.7L V6, good for 305 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. This engine isn’t just about power though, it was designed with fuel efficiency in mind as well. Ford estimates that the engine will be good for 30 mpg, making it the most fuel efficient car in its class. For more details, head on over to Autoblog.

If given the choice between a 2010 Shelby GT500 Mustang and the do-it-all-for-you Nissan GT-R, which would you chose? The choice is simple for me. The Shelby. Duh. I would rather have the driver’s car, the car where you actually have to know how to drive in order to go really fast. Sure the GT-R can be fun, but eventually Nissan will just make super cars with CVT’s because they give better gas mileage, it just doesn’t make sense.
