Ford Fusion Hybrid set to attempt 1,000 miles on a single tank of gas.

2010 Ford Fusion hybrid (Ford)
Ford engineers, along with the help of NASCAR racer Carl Edwards and hyper-miller Wayne Gerdes, are going to attempt to drive 1,000 miles in a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid on a single tank of gas. The route they plan to take winds all over the eastern side of the U.S. taking them from Mount Vernon, VA to Washington DC. Not only is Ford using this as a way to promote how fuel efficient the Fusion Hybrid is, and how you driving technique can go a long way in reducing our dependence on oil, but they are also raising funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation along the way. 2010 Mercury Milan Hybrid
The 2010 Mercury Milan Hybrid is essentially the same as the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid. Minor exterior and interior changes are all that differentiate the two vehicles. Which Sam Abuelsamid from Autobloggreen states is a good thing. It has the same sporty feel of the Fusion, same excellent gas mileage (he averaged 2.4 mpg more in winter driving with the Milan than the Camry Hybrid) and more truck space (1.4 cu ft more than the Camry Hybrid.) Plus, the Ford twins have a tax credit of $3,400 still available to anyone who buys one before the end of March 2009. Head on over to Autobloggreen for the full article.
