Ain’t she a beauty??? The Coyote engine is also slated to see duty in the 2011 Mustang, but at this point anything is game. The predictions peg this engine at 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, putting it above the current Triton 5.4L V8. For more details, head on over to Pickuptrucks.com.

The cracks are beginning to grow: Toyota recalls 3.8 million vehicles over dangerous floormats!

So, think your floormats couldn’t possibly kill you right? Well, if you happen to drive a Toyota covered by their LARGEST RECALL EVER, your floormats might be hazardous to your health. The issue occurs when the floormats get stuck under the throttle pedal, causing it to stick in the wide open position. This is Toyota’s largest recall ever, at 3.8 million vehicles, and their solution? The answer to this issue from the company so many people think has the answers to everything? Take out your floor mat. That’s it…take it out, and get your carpets dirty. Don’t replace it with a Toyota floor mat or any other floor mat for that matter. Brilliant, and people wonder why their cars are like toasters, they just don’t care about the customer! For a full list of the vehicles affected, head on over to Autoblog.

Ford has reportedly offered its support of the October 22nd launch of Windows 7 to Microsoft. Ford will switch all its computers over to Windows 7 and will probably advertise using its SYNC infotainment system. Autoblog has had the chance to review the all new 2010 Ford Taurus SEL, and this paragraph sums it up best in my book:
“With the new-for-2010 Taurus, you get the overwhelming sense that Ford has created a vehicle that knows exactly what it can and can’t do. It delivers on style, comfort and features, while leaving the sportiness to lighter, more dynamic performers like Dearborn’s own Fusion. That can only help the Taurus compete against the likes of Toyota and Honda, and with customers placing more emphasis on value, the 2010 Taurus could give luxury stalwarts like the Cadillac DTS, Lexus ES, Acura RL and even the Lincoln MKS, something to worry about. But that can only happen if the new Taurus is bold enough and good enough for consumers to forgive Ford for its past sins with the Taurus. It’s time to get over it – and after a week – we have.”
You read it right there folks! The new Taurus is good enough to make you forget about the sins of the past. MOVE ON people, buy American again, it’s time! For the full review, head on over to Autoblog.

There are three issues that Camaro owners should probably get checked on their cars. One involves the spoiler, another the HVAC, and the third the V8 wiring harness. Oh, there is another issue they should have looked at, involving the headliner causing extreme static for drivers with mullets…just kidding! Owners are advised to have their cars looked at at their earliest convience, aka this is not a recall. For more details, head on over to Camaro5.

Fiat 500 to appear in a Chrysler dealership near you!

According to Chrysler CEO Peter Fong, the Fiat 500 will begin showing up in Chrysler dealerships instead of stand alone Fiat showrooms. This will make the 500 the first Fiat product to cross over the pond since Chrysler and Fiat merged earlier this year. Don’t expect to see the car anytime soon however, as production doesn’t begin in Mexico until late 2010 or early 2011. Above is the Abarth sport edition, which actually looks pretty cool! According to recent reports, it looks like the Chrysler Sebring and its platform mate the Dodge Avenger will survive until 2012! I have never really been a fan of the styling of these two vehicles, but at least Chrysler decided to do something different, unlike the foreign competition who’s vehicles can all be summed up as “bland.” The vehicles will receive mild facelifts sometime around 2011 and then be replaced by something from the Fiat stable. Lets hope this plan works out! For more, head on over to Autoblog.

Chrysler and Fiat have been trying to restructure and bring customers back into the showrooms. So they decided to set out and define what each of their brands should target. Chrysler will become a Cadillac competitor, Dodge will focus on driving dynamics and Jeep will focus on the rugged outdoors. Where does that leave the Ram? Well speculation exists that the Ram will become its own brand, focusing on trucks, vans and SUVs.
I’m not really sure why they feel the need to move the Ram to its own brand, I mean, GM and Ford sell plenty of trucks and vans without making them their own line. Hopefully this strategy works out for Chrysler in the future, I guess only time will tell. For more information, head on over to InsideLine.

Ford F-150 to receive Ecoboost engine in the near future…

So there aren’t many details on this story, but the guys over at Autoblog have found in a Ford press release another confirmation from the automaker that the F-150 will indeed get Ecoboost. The best guess is that the 3.5L V6 Ecoboost unit similar to the unit found in the Taurus, MKS, MKT and Flex will be the engine of choice, but power output remains speculation. The engine will supposedly offer a 20% increase in fuel efficiency over a naturally aspirated engine of similar output. For (slightly) more information, head on over to Autoblog.
