Looks like their quality isn’t as bulletproof as many seem to think. A recall notice will be sent to owners who’s cars are affected by a possible corrosion issue in a fuel pipe. The corrosion is apparently caused by ethanol fuels that have a low moisture content, which can lead to rust, causing an eventual leak and/or trouble light indicating a system malfunction.

The North American International Auto Show is finishing it’s first week…so this post is a tad on the late side. Whatever. Anyway the NA Truck of the Year was announced and the winner was the Ford F-150. In second place was the new Dodge Ram pickup, following in third was the Mercedes ML320 BlueTEC. Seeing as the F-150 has the highest available towing capacity, payload capacity, and unsurpassed fuel economy, it’s not really a big shock that the F-150 beat the second place contender by more than double.
The F-150 also beat out new entries such as the Honda Pilot, Infiniti FX35/50, Nissan Murano, and Subaru Forester (Motor Trend’s 2009 Sport Utility of the Year.) Considering the F-150 has been the best selling truck for over 30 consecutive years, and was once again the best selling vehicle in 2008, marking the 23rd straight year that the F-150 has held that title (no, not the Toyota Camry or the Honda Accord.)
Check out AmericanTrucks.com and their large selection of F150 Accessories.
Ford has done it again, this time with the 4 cylinder version of th 2010 Fusion sedan. The car was recently certified by the EPA at 23 city / 34 highway. This ties/beats the current class leaders (Nissan Altima at 23 city, Chevrolet Malibu at 33 highway) and shows that the American’s know how to build class leading cars too. Happy New Year! Yea, I know it’s a bit late; better late than never!
Hello and Happy New Year! I haven’t had a chance to post much lately, but now truth about domestics is back at it. With a New Year, we will be bringing a lot more truths about the domestic auto industry.
We are currently working on exciting videos and new content. We’re still working on fixing the layout of the website. And, lastly we added some advertisements to help pay for the website hosting.
A word about the advertisements: we are using Google to host the ads, which means that they will throw anything related to autos in there. This means that there will be advertisements relating to non-domestic auto companies. This is FINE, because we are NOT anti-import vehicles, we are simply trying to expose the truth about domestic vehicles.
Support the cause, keep reading, and tell others about this site!

I thought this was a great article. It’s how I feel about the automotive industry, and I believe, when you really sit down and think about it, it’s how the population of the US should feel as well.
